MADISON — Joseph B. Back, aye 62, ot 5205 Verona Rd. died at his home on Monday, October 30, 1978 aller a long illness. He was born on May 10, 1916 in Madison and was a life-long resident. Mr. Back was a letter-carrier with the U. S. Post Ollice for 35 years, and retired in 1971. He and his wife Armella owned and operated Back Ache Acres Roadside Market for o period of 23 years. He was a member of St. Maria Gorelti Catholic Church and its Men's Club and the National Association of Letter Carriers and also a member of Ihe Carelrce Years Club and the Verona Gem & Mineral Club. He was married to lite former Armella R. Dottl on November 25, 1937. Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Moore of Green Bay, Wl., Mrs. Monle (Patricia) Stollz of Geneva, Ohio, Mrs. Jarnos (Louise) Liebherr of El Cerrilo, California, Miss Mary Back of Fairfield, California; two sons, Joseph of Verona and Kenneth of Madision; two sisters, Mrs. Colette Corbetl of Madison and Miss Ludwina Buck of Madison; a brother Alfons of Madison and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held al ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH at 10:30a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 1978 with Father Wilfred Schuster ofliciating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at THE RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Shcrmun Ave. from 4 to 9p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, where the Rosary will be recited at 8p.m.
