Services for Mr. Roberts will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the chapel of Hixon Brothers, Pineville, with Bro. Nick Taylor and Bro. Richard DeBusk officiating. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery, on Newsome Rd. in Ruby, LA, under the direction of Hixon Brothers, Pineville.
Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
He was preceded in death an infant son, John Lowell Roberts; by his parents, Jodie L. and Ola D. Roberts; one sister, Mary Lee Williams.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, and numerous neices and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Joan McDowell Roberts; daughters, Janet Roberts Bolton, Joyce Roberts Michael; son, Jodie Lincoln Roberts, II and wife Brenda Walter Roberts; five grandchildren, Jeremy Keith Bolton, Otho "Corey" Bolton, Sarah Jane Bolton, Larry "J.R." Michael, Jodie Lincoln Roberts, III (Trey). He was blessed with two great granddaughters, Paighton Bolton, Kayleigh Bolton; sisters, Betty Woodall, Shirley Atchison, Bonnie Gatlin and leaves behind numerous nephews & nieces. He loved each and every one of these from the bottom of his heart.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bolton, Corey Bolton, J. R. Michael, Trey Roberts, Wayne Woodall, and Eugene "Perk" McDowell. Honorary pallbearers are Sarah Bolton, Chris McDowell, James Drake, Hank Bardwell, Arthur Haas, James Barnes and Bennie McBride.
