Henry was born in La Salle County, Illinois to Dora and John Busgen. Henry was a veteran of WWII serving in the
U. S. Army - he enlisted March 19, 1941 and was discharged August 25, 1945.
Henry worked for many years at Rockton Grade School as a maintenace worker and was a member of the Rockton American Legion.
Henry was predeceased by his wife Bess on June 1, 1998 - they had no children.
Starks Funeral Home, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197 (734-482-4900) was entrusted with his final arrangements.
Henry's military marker was found in the river near the area where his ashes were spread in the cemetery in Michigan - according to the cemetery personnel his marker was not officially set, it was only laid on the ground near his relatives buried there - therefore a perfect target for someone to pick up and toss into the river. After much research the local Veteran's group found where Bessie was buried and his marker was sent to the cemetery in LaSalle, Il to be mounted on her grave. Rest in Peace Henry Busgen.
