Daniel B Strong, 94 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs J W Metcalf, at Tyner, Ky, April 28. Born in Owsley Co, November 1, 1862, son of Phil & Fannie Freeman Strong. He was married to Narcissus Bowles who preceded him in death. He was member of the Flat Lick Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs Mollie Mason, Berea, Ky, Mrs Hadie Miller, Somerset, Ky, Mrs Lillie Metcalf, Tyner, Ky, Mrs Rhoda Spivey, New Zion, Ky; one son; Fred Strong, Hamilton, Ohio; 34 grandchildren & 51 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Flat Lick Baptist Church at 11:00 AM April 30, by Elder R A Bolender. Interment in Rock Springs Cemetery in Owsley Co with Baker Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers; friends of the family.
