James W. "Bill" Dirlam, 61, of 1680 Gilmore Ave in Winona, died Friday (July 27, 1990) at Community Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1929, at Newton, Iowa, to James and Stella Morton Dirlam. After living in Davenport, Iowa, for 25 years, he moved to Winona in 1981 where he was employed as a housing Inspector for the city. On May 31, 1957, he married Kathleen J. Ide at Davenport. He served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1954. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; Elizabeth (Ed) Williamson of Des Moines, Ia, Dr. Linda S. Dirlam of Chambersburg, Pa, Mary (Tim) Cox of Davenport, Il and Diane Dirlam of Winona; a grandson, Christopher Williamson; and two sisters, Iona Pratt of Houston Lake, Mo and Betty Dirlam of Bloomingdale Il. Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday at Central Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery of Winona.
