NORWALK

Clarence Oscar Wiseman, 71, of Norwalk, died Thursday morning, Oct. 30, 2008, at his residence with his family at his side.

He was born Nov. 24, 1936, in Oak Hill, Ohio. He graduated from Margaretta High School in 1954 and served in the Army National Guard. He was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church, and an avid reader. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and was a loyal Cleveland Indians Fan. He retired in 1997 from Ford Motor Company in Lorain.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Smith) Wiseman of Norwalk; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debi Wiseman of Norwalk, Anthony and Cindy Wiseman of North Carolina, Dean and Beverly Wiseman of Mansfield, Ohio, and Gregory and Lauren Wiseman of North Carolina; daughters and sons-in-law, Scott and Kathy Meek of Norwalk and John and Lisa Martin of Norwalk; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Marion Wiseman of Norwalk, Gerald Wiseman of Kentucky and Timothy Wiseman of Texas; sisters, Lucille Smith of Milan, Mary Leber of Milan, Carol Mullins of Kentucky and Susan Rew of Norwalk; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Alberta (Trapp) Wiseman; and sister, Ellen Souslin.

Friends may call 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Additional visitation will take place from noon, Monday, until service at 1 p.m. in Victory Baptist Church, 135 Gallup Ave., Norwalk; Brother William Enderle will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
