Mr. William C. Riggs, 73 years old, of Route 2 Brandenburg, Kentucky, died Monday, October 28, 1968 at St. Anthony Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born October 13, 1895, the son of the late Washington Riggs and Amanda Stinnett Riggs. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Ellen (Robinson) Riggs in 1966.

He is survived by nine children; four daughters, Mrs. Hugh (Vivian) Bass, Mrs. Leo (Minnie) Briles, both of Brandenburg, Mrs. Clifton (Dorothy) Elliot of Louisville, and Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Smith of Guston; five sons, Dennis, James, Charles L. and William Riggs all of Brandenburg, Kentucky, and Mr. Virgil Riggs of Cenral, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Eller Porter of New Albany, Indiana. 29 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell Cantrall officiating. Interment in Rock Haven Cemetery.
