Ollie Mae Stogner Poarch, 82, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. She was the daughter of the late George Wilbur and Ollie Pope Stogner; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Modie E. Poarch; a daughter, Charlotte P. Andrews; and a grandson, Jason P. Griffin.

Mrs. Poarch was retried from Seward Luggage with many years of dedicated service. She is survived by a son, Robert E. Poarch and wife, Barbara, of Dinwiddie; two daughters, Linda P. Vaughan and husband, Larry, and Sandra P. Griffin and husband, Jan, all of Chesterfield; two sisters, Betty S. Hardee of Bogalusa, La., and Leona S. Sumrall of Tylertown, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Barbara Stone, Jennifer Wilson, Edward Poarch, Stacey Reed, Herbert Vaughan, Amanda Jordan, James Andrews, Brandy Lawrence, and Robert Andrews; her loving companion of 38 years, Aubrey "Butch" Whirley, of Petersburg; and a devoted friend, Robin Adcock of Dinwiddie; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, in Blandford Cemetery, with the Rev. Rodney Jenkins, officiating.
