Maxine Marshall, resident of Cordell, was born on Nov. 5, 1923 in Dill City OK to W.T. and Edna (Latham) Parker and passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 in Cordell.

She was born in Dill City and attended school in Burns Flat, graduating in 1941. She married Sid Marshall on Feb. 28, 1941 in Dill City. Maxine and Sid raised their family in Cordell.

Maxine had worked at the Robertson Factory for several years before retiring in early 1980. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cordell. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed writing poetry and attending family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on July 17, 2009; one daughter, Jeana Dunn on April 17, 2011; one grandson, Kyle Hurst in 1969; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter; Linda Hurst and husband Alvin of Altus; one son, Ronnie and wife Ramona of Kingfisher; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and special friends, Joyce and Mike Malenky and Eva Curtis.
