"The LaFayette Sun" – November 1, 1923:

Mrs. B. F. Holstun Died Last Saturday.

Mrs. B. F. Holstun, who had been sick for more than a year, died at the home of her son, J. D. Holstun, Saturday afternoon. Funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. B. Hope, of the Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. S. L. Pruitt, of the Lanett Methodist church, and Rev. J. W. Wolford, of the West Point Church. Interment was at the Holstun family burial ground six miles east of LaFayette on the middle West Point Road. Mrs. Holstun just passed 70 years of age and had been a widow a little over three years. She had been a member of the Methodist church from girlhood, and was a good, faithful member. She leaves two sons and two daughters as follows: Neil Holstun, Lanett; John Holstun, LaFayette; Mrs. Will Hairston, LaGrange, and Mrs. P. B. Schuessler, LaFayette. To all of whom we extend our sympathy.
