Death of Mrs. Holstun.

Mrs. Statira Holstun died at the home of her son, Mr. B. F. Holstun, of this place, on Tuesday evening, Oct. 7th, at 6:30 o’clock. Mrs. Holstun was 78 years old, and had long been a member of the Methodist church. Her membership was at Emory Chapel, and she was one of two only original members of that church.
The remains of this good woman were laid to rest in the family graveyard near town Thursday the funeral services being conducted by Rev. J. C. Francis.
The deceased leaves three children and twenty-seven grandchildren. The children are Mr. B. F. Holstun, of LaFayette, Mrs. Carrie Darden, of Birmingham, and Mrs. Lona Whitaker, of Auburn.
The following out-of-town relatives of the deceased were present at the funeral: Mrs. Carrie Darden and daughter; Miss Carrie Lou, of Birmingham; Miss Carrie Lou, of Birmingham; Mrs. O. D. Whitaker and daughter; Miss Mary Jim, Ira Lee and Maria, of Auburn, Reuben and Hudman Whitaker of West Point, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hutson, of West Point; Mr. and Mrs. Neal Holstun; of Lanett; Mr. Bern. and Holstun, of Lanett; Mr. Holstun Darden and wife, of Lanett; Miss Louina Trammell, of Columbus.
