Robert Josephson was the third and last child born to David and Anna Josephson of Fort Dodge, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific. After he returned, he married Lois Ann Nellis and they had two children. He worked as an accountant at Hormel's. He was an active member of First Covenant Church of Fort Dodge, where he sang in the choir and maintained the yard in the summer. He was also a volunteer in building and maintaining the church's Bible Camp facility at Twin Lakes.
