~Obituary in the Sunday Independent Wilkes-Barre
21 Nov 1976~

What was not included in the article is that the accident occurred the day after his first wedding anniversary and that his wife Debbi was expecting another child, a daughter; Tara.

Ray was named for his grandfather; Thomas Raymond Bromfield and his Uncle; Raymond Thomas Clarke.

He was an avid student of the Bible, he loved God and his family most of all. He enjoyed making people laugh and was very good at it. He enjoyed music and was an amateur drummer. His drumming was enjoyed throughout the neighborhood when ever he played. Ray wrote poetry and was also an accomplished painter, he loved to paint with acrylics, however he was not a stranger to the pencil and charcoal. His favorite subject was doing portraits, but was quite comfortable painting animals and scenes. Ray loved working in his humble garden. And would search high and low for the best of foods and milk for his son.

Ray never met a stranger. And he was often seen sharing his last beer with a neighbor. He was loved by all who knew him. And very very missed.
