She married Yuel Samuel Anderson on May 2, 1936, in Carbondale. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1985. She leaves one daughter, Linda Sue Hunter, of Makanda.
She was a seamstress at the glove factory, and after her retirement, sold Avon for more than 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Anderson died at the age of 93 in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
