William Sherman Wooley died suddenly Saturday, April 18, 1959 at noon at his home on Court Street. He had operated a grocery store and meat market in Campbellsville for a number of years. He was born April 22, 1894 in Taylor County, the son of Alice Caulk and Jim Frank Wooley. He united in marriage to Grace Childers some 34 years ago. She preceded him in death as did their son, Junior Wooley. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 20th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kavanaugh Loy in charge. Burial followed at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were: E. E. Eads, J. H. Pickett, Owen Hubbard, George Sapp, Abraham Aaron and Branch Huddleston. Honorary bearers were: Gene Blakey, Joe Holt, Stanley Wooley, W. Y. Handley, John Close, and Bill Cox, Sr.

Mr. James F. Wooley, age 74 years, died Tuesday, April 24th, at his home near Mannsville. He was united in marriage with Miss Sara Alice Caulk February 14, 1894, who preceded him to the grave. Three sons were born to this union who survive as follows: Messrs. Sherman, Shelby and Shirley Wooley. He was a member of the Christian Church. Funeral services were held at the Jericho Church Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. C. Howell. Interment took place in the church cemetery.

Mr. Shirley Wooley was born February 27, 1903 in Taylor County the son of the late James F. Wooley and Sarah Alice Caulk. He died at his home near Mannsville, Thursday, August 1, about 10:00 p.m. of a heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. K. A. Loy in charge. Burial was in the Jericho Cemetery in Taylor County. He united in marriage to Valta Lowe Wooley. Pallbearers were Wycliffe Shreve, Allen Childers, J. W. Keeling, Garland McDonald, Elzie Cox, and Lewis Cox. Survivors include his wife, one step-daughter, Betty Childers of Route 1, Spurlington and one brother, Sherman Wooley of Campbellsville. Services were held on Saturday, August 3, at 2:00 p.m. C.D.T.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 24 at 2 p.m. for Mr. Shelby Wooley, who died suddenly of a coronary heart attack Monday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at his home at Tallow Creek Community. Services were conducted from the Tallow Creek Methodist Church with Brother William Parrigan in charge. Mr. Wooley was a member of Tallow Creek Methodist Church. Burial was in Jerico Cemetery, in Taylor County. He was born April 28, 1899 the son of James F. Wooley and Sarah Alice Caulk, both who are deceased. Mr. Wooley united in marriage to Gertie Fischer Wooley, who preceded him in death. To this union six daughters and four sons were born. Survivors include: Mrs. Sylvester Morris of Louisville; Mrs. Ralph Perkins of Indianapolis, Indiana; Mrs. Edgar Tungate of Louisville; Mrs. Eugene Woods of Elkhorn; Mrs. Bill Tungate of Louisville; and Mrs. Bert Sneed also of Louisville; Bill Wooley of Boston, Kentucky; Roy Wooley of this city; Shirley Wooley and Wilbur Wooley both of Spurlington, Route 1. He also leaves two brothers: Shirley Wooley, Route 1, Spurlington, and Sherman Wooley of this city. Pallbearers were Floyd Gunter, Lewis Cox, Allen Childers, Elize Cox, Morris Russell and Wycliffe Shreve.
