RAYMOND CARBON
(1941 - 2003)

Raymond Carbon, 62, Ashwaubenon, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003.

He was born March 11, 1941, to the late John and Lucille (Hassmer) Carbon in Manitowoc County. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. On August 19, 1975, he married the former Judy Stransky in Manitowoc. He was employed by Chilton Globe for 30 years and currently was employed by Dean Pickle. Raymond enjoyed working in his yard and gardens and loved his part-time job during the summer with the Village of Ashwaubenon.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; two children, Cassie Carbon and Jason Carbon; three step-children, Randall and Lynn Long; Susan Long; and Rick Long; two step-grandchildren, Dylan and Nicholas Block; his brothers and sisters, Rosemarie and Ray Cisler; June and Ted Meyer; Mary Carol and Richard Haupt; Caroline and Luis Trujillo; Margorie Brandl; Jack and Doreen Carbon; and Richard and Janis Carbon; two sisters-in-law, Rose Carbon and Joyce Carbon; and Judith's sisters and brother, Lynn (Dick) Ruehr; Audrey (Jim) Dempsky; and Steve (Trudy) Stansky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Carbon and Fred Carbon and one brother-in-law, Elmer Brandl.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Green Bay, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Friday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Ashwaubenon, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Girotti officiating. Burial will take place in Branch Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Rapids, Manitowoc County.

The family would like to thank their wonderful neighbors for all of their help, the second floor nursing staff at Bellin Hospital and the staff of Unity Hospice for the care and compassion that they provided.
