Mrs. L. C. Degenhart and sister, Miss Lydia O'Neil, went to Missoula last Friday to attend the funeral of their father, Hugh O'Neil, who died in the Sisters' hospital in that city last Thursday at the age of 64 years.
The deceased was one of the best known pioneers of Montana, having come to the state in 1861, and has ever since been associated with Montana's history.
He leaves a family composed of five daughters and two sons: Mrs. Lee C. Degenhart, Mrs. John Hickey and Miss Lydia O'Neil, of this place, and Mrs. J. H. Biggs and Mrs. D. R. McDonald, of Missoula, and John and Hugh O'Neil, of Deer Lodge. The funeral took place in Missoula last Saturday and was largely attended.

Gravesite Details
Hugh O'Neill does not have a stone in this cemetery. He was buried before the cemetery kept burial locations. If he is buried here, it would be in this old, historic section, no longer marked.
