The first child and son born to Daniel and Deborah (Chambers)Marshall.
He was named for his uncle Isaac Chambers, the brother of Deborah, of whom his father faught with in New Orleans, LA, during the War of 1812.
Married Eleanor Branham Aug. 6, 1835 at Jefferson Co, IN.
Children: Mary Jane(Md. John Jewel), Daniel Thomas(Md.Nancy Spicer), Margaret Ann(Md. James Spicer), Louisana, and Sara Boardman.The younger girls never married.
Upon the death of his father in law Thomas Branham, he was given charge of his wife's siblings.
His signature is found on the Neil's Creek Anti-slavery Society document, published by the Republican Banner of March 26, 1845.
His cabin still stands in what is now a pasture, where his children once played.
