A. Maxine Lietzke Salters, 88, of Lakeview, OH, formerly of Lansing and St. Johns, MI, passed away February 26, 2013 at Heartland of Indian Lake, Lakeview.
Maxine was born on August 15, 1924, in St Johns, MI to the late Willis & Beulah (Taber) Mygrants. On May 14, 1949, she married Donald H. Lietzke and he preceded her in death in 1978. Then on April 19, 1980, she married Lawrence Salters and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Maxine is survived by four sons, Ronald L. (Jo) Lietzke of Huntsville, OH, Dale A. Lietzke of San Francisco, CA, Gary W. (Vicky) Lietzke, who resides in China, and Duane J. Lietzke of Alma, MI, five grandchildren, Andrew Lietzke, Caitlyn Lietzke, Theodore Lietzke, Nathaniel Lietzke, and Alexandra Lietzke, and a brother, Keith (Nancy) Mygrants of Naples, FL.
Maxine was a homemaker and seamstress who specialized in custom draperies. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lansing and member of Price Road Methodist Church in St. Johns. She was also a member of the Rebekahs. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, making crafts, knitting and crocheting.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, March 1, 2013 at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation, followed by a memorial service, will be held from 11 am to 1 pm, Friday, March 1st at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Funeral Home, 6020 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing.
