Gerhard Roland Krepline, age 72, of Hilbert, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born October 20, 1940, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Helmuth & LaVerna (Woldt) Krepline.

Gerhard graduated from Chilton High School, class of 1958 and served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968. Following his discharge, he milked cows for Milford Hinz and worked at the Cold Springs Cheese Factory all the while operating his own farm in the Town of Rantoul. In 1987, Gerhard began working for Gruetts in Potter, and had been employed there since. He married Sharon Sauer on April 12, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul.

Gerhard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. He loved listening and dancing to Polka music, especially Romy Gosz and The Kingsmen, and rarely missed the Saturday morning Jerry Schneider radio program. Gerhard lived and loved the gift God gave him of farming. He proudly 'kept his farm red'; his I-H Tractors and his land brought him much joy. Gerhard also enjoyed his sports, especially cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include his wife: Sharon; his children; Jeff & Jodi Krepline all of Hilbert; 3 brothers: George (Carol Mae) Krepline of Hilbert, William (Joyce) Krepline of Hilbert, Leroy (Barb) Krepline of Reedsville; a sister: Rose Ann (Fredrick) Kozelek of New Frankin; and his brothers-in-law: Leroy (Sylvia) Sauer of Appleton, & Richard Zemke of Neenah. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws: Henry & Marie Sauer; a brother: Anton (Dolores) Krepline; a infant sister: Alice Krepline; his sisters-in-law: Barbara Zemke, Carol (Alton) Basler; and a nephew: Richard Basler.
