Mrs. Elsie Mae Bailey, 75, of 3946 Reid Ave., Lorain, died in Lorain Community Hospital Thursday evening.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Raleigh, N. C., and had lived in Lorain for 12 years, coming from Bluefield, W. Va. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Bluefield.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Howard (Ruth) Bailey, Mrs. Kathleen Hook, Mrs. Lowery (Doris) Wright, Mrs. U. S. (Evelyn) Spicer, all of Lorain, and Mrs. Pearl (Helen) Taylor, Bluefield, W. Va.; two sons, Vance, Lorain, and Jack, Bluefield, W. Va.; 29 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; a brother, Emory Lewis, Matewan, W. Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Manford Haynes and Mrs. Bessie Wills, both of Taylor, Mich.
Her husband, German Bailey, died in 1962.
The body was taken to the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluefield, W. Va., where services will be Monday. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Princeton, W. Va.
Local arrangements were by the John R. Dovin Funeral Home of Lorain."
