In 1969, Ralph graduated from W. T. White High School, Dallas, Texas, where he excelled in track and field. He attended the University of Texas, Austin where he earned a BA in Economics, and was an ardent supporter of the Texas Longhorns. Ralph was also very proud to be a member of the Texas Baronial Order of Magna Charta, whose members are decendents of one of the original 25 Surties. He was a descendent of President John and John Quincy Adams, the Delano Family and three Pilgrim families who sailed on the Mayflower.
Ralph was a Senior Account Manager with Cummins Allison and was a proud Century Club Winner. He was active and spiritual member of the St. Thomas Moore Community where he met future wife Susan Permetti Howard. Together, they taught RCIA, where Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and involved with the ACTS communities.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph and step-father, Glenn. He is survived by his wife, Susan; mother, Peggy; son, Neal Brown; daughters, Karis Crain (Aaron) and Annemarie Howard; sisters, Peggy Gunter, Kathryn Colby Smith, and Missy Gannaway (Steven); brothers, Michael and Glenn, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330, Hillcroft, Houston, Texas 77096 with a Vigil Service and Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with a reception immediately following. Committal will occur at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
