Neil Rasmussen, 73, of Salem died Wednesday. Cause of death was unavailable.

He was born in Portland and graduated from Stanford University in 1949. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War and was a lieutenant commander. He worked for Consolidated Supply Co. in Portland, then became branch manager in Salem. He was active in the Naval Reserve. He was a quality council agent for New York Life Insurance in Salem. He was a member of Rotary, Masonic Lodge, the Reserve Officers Association, was a Paul Harris Fellow and enjoyed golf. A son preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Cannon), whom he married in 1957; sons, Kirk of Portland and Cannon of San Francisco; daughter, Sally Blanchard of West Linn; and two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Monday in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where he was a member. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain View Cemetery, Walla Walla, Wash. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
