Funeral Service For Ed. Little Friday Morning
Funeral services are to take place Friday morning for Edward James Little, 62 year old Mt. Pleasant insurance man, who died at 6 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home at 202 South Fancher avenue. He had been ill intermittently for two years and been confined to his bed for nearly three months.
Solemn high mass will be celebrated at nine o'clock at Sacred Heart church. Rev. Daniel Izzo will be the celebrant. Rev. John Mulvey of St. Mary's parish Alma, the deacon: and Rev. Aloysius Tomaszaki, of St, Henry's parish Rosebush, the sub-deacon. Internment will take place at Vernon cemetery, St. Henry's parish Rosebush.
Mr. Little was born in the city of Saginaw May 26, 1874. When he was only six years old his parents moved to a farm in Vernon township, Isabella county. He lived there continuously until he moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1917. In 1894 he married Margaret Jasmine of Shepherd.
For the past 27 years Mr. Little has been the manager for the Gleaners' Life Insurance company of Detroit. His office has been located at his South Fancher avenue home. For many years prior to the time of his death he was a director of the Pioneer Fire Insurance company, also of Detroit.
He is survived by his widow and by the following sons and daughters; Andrew of Saginaw; Sister Mary Lucy, of the Dominican order, Diocese of Detroit; Mrs. Anthony Dole, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. John O'Conner, Lincoln park, Mich. Mrs. Edward Campbell, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Stanley Frawley, Saginaw; Emil, Mt. Pleasant. Also left to mourn him are two brothers, Albert of Lansing, and Bertram of Mt. Pleasant, and two sisters, Mrs. George Swindlehust of Rosebush, and Mrs. Thomas Lawler of Delwin.
