Anthony F. Estes, 82, of Eaton, died Tuesday, July 30, as a result of a train-car accident on Oxford-Gettysburg Road. Born Jan. 30, 1920, in Gratis Township, he was the son of Sidney and Mary Elizabeth (Bailey) Estes. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include two sisters, Maudie Mae Stillwell and Martha Rudorf, both of Eaton; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Danzi, Kathryn Spitzmiller and Nola Worrell; and seven brothers, William, Thomas, Leonard, Wilbur, Chester, Johnny and Walker Estes.

Graveside services were Saturday, Aug. 3, at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, with the Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
