STEPHEN MROTEK

Stephen J. Mrotek, 74, retired farmer and lifelong county resident, died
Sunday morning at the farm home on route 1, Cleveland. He had been an
invalid for more than four years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the St. Casimir's
Catholic church in Newton, the Rev. Anthony Betley officiating. Interment
will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Mrotek was born on the Centerville farm where he spent his entire life,
in 1868(sic) and in 1895 he married Miss Frances Tomchek.
Survivors are the widow; five sons, Frank, Edward and Alois, on the home
farm, Alex of Newton, John of Nordheim; six daughters, Emily and Regina on
the home farm, Agnes, of Newton, Mrs. Peter Siewert of Cleveland, Mrs.
Clarence Jost of Hika, Mrs. John Glomski, of route 1, Cleveland; two brothers,
Wlady, of Ashland, Lawrence, of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Tomchek
of Newton, Mrs. Agnes Payne, of Chicago.
The body was moved to the Mrotek home this afternoon from the Leschke funeral
home and may be viewed there until the hour of the services.
