Charles C. Helm, Jr., The Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Saturday evening in the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center after an illness.

His wife of 54 years is the former Marie Lyddon.

Born in Weehawken, NJ he was the son of the late Charles, Sr and Lena Pfister Helm. He was a graduate of the Union Hill High School in Union City, NJ.

He was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church, Hamlin where he was very active in many of its organizations. Prior to retirement he had been employed as a machinist in the auto replacement parts industry.

He was a member of the Hideout Gun, Garden and Woodworking Clubs as well as the NRA, and North American Hunting and Fishing Associations.

Also surviving are a daughter Donna Klein and her husband Harold of Byram, NJ; two sons Kenneth Helm and his wife Tawana of Wantage, NJ and Kevin of Denville, NJ; a sister Arlene Morganti of Monroe, CT; grandchildren Bryan, Jeremy, Mitchell, Arielle and Adam.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the St. John's Episcopal Church 564 Easton Turnpike, Hamlin officiated by the Rev. Ronald R. Miller, Ph.D.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Cremation will take place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Episcopal Church PO Box 118 Hamlin, Pa. 18427.
