GREENSBORO - Mrs. Sudie Walls Truitt, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at the Masonic & Eastern Star Home. Mrs. Truitt was born in Stokes County and was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Lady's Circle and a former Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Franklin Walls in 1966 and her second husband, Yancey Ewell Truitt in 1986. She was a nurse's aid at Scotts Nursing Home. Several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews survive as well as stepdaughters Gwen Murray and husband Bill and Betty Jo Parrish and husband Elbert. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9,at Forbis & Dick Guilford Chapel with the Rev. Lauren F. Vanacore officiating. Interment will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, Jan. 8, at the funeral home.
