MILLERSBURG- Shirley J. Lenker, 77, of Third Street, Lenkerville, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. She was born in Millersburg, June 30th, 1935 daughter of the late Boyd L. and Florence C. (Hoy) Lenker.
She was a member of Hebron U.M. Church, Millersburg.
She had worked in the past for Johnson Bailey and Muskin Shoe Co. both formerly of Millersburg.
She was a 1954 Graduate of Millersburg H.S.
She enjoyed reading, especially country western novels. Her greatest joy was watching the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball team.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Lenker and Frank Lenker, and sister, Dolores Leiser, all of Millersburg. Niece, Holly, wife of Scott Barry and family, Elizabethville and Nephew, Tep Lenker, Lykens.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lenker and sister, Evelyn Lenker.
A memorial will be held at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Inc in Millersburg, Friday, March 1st, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Inurnment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Shirley battled Asthma all her life and would like memorial donations sent to: American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA, 17011
