Kent E. White, age 63, of Nampa, passed away Nov. 5, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa. Kent was born Nov. 10, 1944, to Warren A. and Mary E. White in Boise, Idaho. He was a fourth generation Idahoan.
As a youth he grew up in the then rural Kuna and Meridian areas, becoming active in 4-H and FFA showing Jersey cattle. Kent graduated from Meridian High School in 1962.
As a young man he was employed at various dairies throughout the local area and out of state. In later life he was employed at Amalgamated Sugar in Nampa.
Kent married Cathy Chadwick in 1967. To this union two sons were born. Kent and Cathy were later divorced.
Kent met and married Betty Piersol in 1975. To this union was brought one step-daughter and later two sons and a daughter. Kent and Betty were later divorced.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his six children: Robert W. (Stephanie) White of Eagle, Christopher K. White of Tempe, Ariz., Roberta (John) Wolf of Lyons, N.Y., Scott B. White (Tonia) of Nampa, Jessica G. White of Lyons, Jacob D. White of Homedale; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Skinner of Meridian and Marletta Romero of McCall.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Sun Bridge Nursing Home in Nampa for their care of Kent.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Ten Mile Community Church, 4440 E. Columbia Road, Meridian.
