Husband of Patience Barney Davis. The son of Daniel and Esther Barney Davis.
In 1773 he received from his father a deed to the homestead near Myles Bridge, in Swansea. He sold this farm to his cousin to Daniel Barney.

...dated 10 APR. 1816, advanced in years, mentions wf Patience (executrix); nine children of dec'd daughter Patience Loundsbury, viz: Nathan, John, Phineas, Daniel, Ira, Polly, Sally, Nancy, Abigail: granddaughters Polly Davis, Charlotte Davis: great-grandson William Gifford, son of Betsey Gifford, dec'd: grandsons John Davis, Daniel Nelson Davis, sons of son Daniel Davis, dec'd: dau in law Anna widow of son Daniel.
