Kenneth H. (Kenny) Bricker, age 82, of New London, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his home. Mr. Bricker was born January 13, 1925 in Mansfield, son of the late, J. Harrison & Naomi Mae (Shade) Bricker. He moved to New London in the early 1930's. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in the European Theater during WWII.
Kenny worked for Perry's Chevrolet in Wellington and New London, he had also worked construction for Chapin & Chapin in Norwalk. He worked for Nickles Bakery in New London and Lorain and had worked as an auditor for Douglas Guardian an auditing company in Houston, Texas.
Kenny was a member of the New London Alliance Church, where he took great pride in caring for the church grounds. He was always willing to volunteer his time for others.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlyse N. (Bilton) Bricker; 2 daughters, Deborah (Larry) Vahalik of Salem, Ohio and Rochelle (Grant) Price of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a son, Scott (Sharon) Bricker of Lorain; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ancik of Kerrville, TX; and a brother, Chuck Bricker of Strongsville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Bricker.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London, where friends may call from noon until the time of service. Pastor Howard D. Bower will officiate and burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park, Ashland, Ohio with military rites
