Born August 10, 1930 in Oakland, CA, and entered into rest on February 21, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 82. Loving husband of 52 years to Barbara Drake. Survived by 8 daughters, 1 son, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and 1 sister.

Howard was in the Military over a period of 53 years, where he served in the Marines (the end of WWII and Korea) for 10 years. The remainder of his service time was with the California National Guard. He was a warehouseman at Thrifty Drug for 15 years. Howard and his wife Barbara enjoyed traveling the back roads of California. He loved time with his grandchildren and his puppy dog.

A Committal Service will be held for Howard on Wednesday, February 27, 11am at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, CA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Howard W. Drake, Jr. to Wounded Warriors 1-855-448-3997.
