Son of James Alvin Farmer and Paulette Agee Farmer FARMER, Kevin R., 46, of Richmond, Va., passed on Friday, August 6, 2010. He was predeceased by his parents, J. Alvin Farmer and Paulette A. Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Cathy R. Farmer; his children, Jordan Agee Farmer and Olivia Dorothy Rose Farmer; brothers, Dwight Farmer and Brent Farmer and wife, Tamara Privitera, and nephew, Chase Farmer; and brother-in-law, J. David Rose Jr. and wife, Janie Rose, and nephews, James D. Rose III and wife, Diana Rose, and Andrew S. Rose. Following his graduation from Hermitage High School, Kevin Farmer worked for Ukrop's for 18 years and then became involved in the family business, David Rose Company-Sales, LTD. Kevin was very proud of his children and supported all their activities as well as their friends' activities at Collegiate. Kevin was actively involved in Ducks Unlimited of Western Henrico, Cavalier Gun Club and National Sporting Clays Association. He shared his love of hunting with his numerous friends as he traveled abroad on safari and hunting trips. Always with a smile, and with the art of telling a story, Kevin never met a stranger. With his engaging personality and loving spirit, Kevin had friends in every corner of the world. The family wishes to celebrate his life with friends and have you share your stories on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hermitage Country Club. Casual, safari attire is appropriate as we share our memories. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kevin R. Farmer Memorial Education Fund at Union First Market Bank.
