MEXICO — Mrs. Thelma Backus, 57, wife of Reginald D. Backus died Thursday east unit of Memorial Hospital, Syracuse. Mrs. Backus lived in New Haven for 23 years. She was born June 10,1912 daughter of Charles and Annie Mower. She was a member and past patron of Victoria Chapter 205 QES and a member of New. Haven Congregational Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Roxanne) Banazak Jr. of Syracuse; two sons, Justin of Mexico and David Backus of Demster; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Robinson of Mexico. Services Sunday at Miner Funeral Home, with the Hev. Fred T. Thayer of New Haven officiating, burial in Mexico Village Cemetery
