TEXAS CITY — Basil Brent Alexander, 25, died Sunday at Mainland Center Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Bible Church in La Marque, the Rev. W.C. Yancy officiating.
Burial will follow at Rising Star Cemetery in La Marque.
Visitors may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mainland Funeral Home in La Marque. A wake will be held 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born Sept. 10, 1962, in Galveston, he was a 1981 graduate of La Marque High School. Survivors include his mother, Carrie Alexander Holt of Texas City; stepfather, Herbert Holt of Texas City; sister, Elaine Alexander of Texas City; three brothers, Larry Alexander, Davion Alexander and Howard Alexander, all of Texas City; two nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Alexander's cousins. Memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
