Obituary:
Ms. Mary Jim Joslin, 86, of Yadkinville passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Springwood Care. Ms. Joslin was born in Lanett, Alabama on November 21, 1926.
She was a veteran of the United States Air Force, working with NASA. Ms. Joslin was part of the Apollo 11 crew, the first to land humans on the moon. She worked for ARCA (Addition Recovery Care Association) for over 25 years.
Ms. Joslin was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.
She is survived by a son David Joslin and wife Betty of Yadkinville; a grandson, Timothy Joslin; two granddaughters, Mary Ann Joslin and Jennifer Duggins; a nephew, Wayne Robertson and wife Sandy; and special friends, Jim and Shelia Schwartz. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to ARCA, 1931 Union Cross Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
