JENNINGS BRYANT "Jay" "J.B." HEFLIN, JR. age 80 of Plain City passed away peacefully, Tuesday evening November 17, 2009 in Naples, Florida. Born May 20, 1929 in Winchester, Kentucky.

He was the Owner/Operator of Heflin Catering for over 60 years and member of International Food Service Executive Association (IFSEA). Also a member of Plain City United Methodist Church.

He was a loving and caring family man who was proud to serve his country as a Marine (1948 -1952) during the Korean Conflict.

Preceded in death by Parents: Jennings Bryant & Kathryn (Conner) Heflin; Wife of 47 years: Patricia (Lombard) Heflin (1998);Daughter: Theda Marie Heflin (1959);Daughter-in-law: Marla Heflin ((2007);
infant Brother: George Lewis Heflin;Brother: Herbert Zach Heflin; Sister: Anna Ruth Heflin.

Survived by loving children: J. B. (Karen) Heflin III of Marysville, Bruce Heflin of Columbus, Teresa (Stan) Russell of Marysville, Brent (Beth) Heflin of Marysville, Roy Heflin of Plain City;

Friends may call from 1 – 3 & 6 – 8 PM, Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St, (St Rt 161 W) Plain City, OH 43064, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM Wednesday with the Pastor Blaine Keene officiating.

Burial Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City with full military honors conducted by the Union County Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
