ANNA M. RENTSCHLER, 88, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Nov. 29, 1916, in Whitley County, she was a homemaker and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church , Arcola and St. Patrick's Catholic Church Rosary Society. " A loving mother, loved her during life and will not forget her after death."

Surviving are daughters, Patricia Ann (James) Fisher of Huntertown, Deb (Jim) Dietel and Colleen (Jess) Muncey and Mary J. (Jeff) Byerley, all of Fort Wayne; sons, Ron (Vivian) Rentschler, Jim (Elaine) Rentschler, Robert D. (Pamala) Rentschler and Phillip (Barbara) Rentschler, all of Fort Wayne; 25 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 1999; two children, Thomas and Janis; and two grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Arcola, with calling 30 minutes prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St., with Rosary at 2:30 p.m. Burial at Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Masses, A.S.P.C.A., or Whitley County Humane Shelter.
