JOHN BONNER BROWNLEE, JR., 67, is forever at home with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Johnny, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bonner Brownlee, Sr., grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. A graduate of Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina, he worked for DuPont and Lucite International, until his retirement in 2008. He was an elder at Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bratton Brownlee; his daughter, Elizabeth Brownlee Lee (Rev. Tommy Lee); son, John Bonner Brownlee III (Rachel Byrd Brownlee); grandchildren, Jonathan Lee, Calli Lee, Jaden Lee, Bella Brownlee, Bonner Brownlee IV, Joseph Lee, Mia Brownlee, Miles Brownlee, and Caitlin Lee; sisters, Judy Todd (Rev. Charles Todd) and Kay Holley (Henry Holley); brother-in-law, Dr. David Bratton (Allison Bratton); four nephews, five nieces, and their children. A service of praise, followed by a reception, will be held at Riveroaks Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1665 South Germantown Road, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7.
