Billy passed away February 18, 2013 at the age of 80. He was born November 22, 1932 in Spartanburg, S.C. He moved to Palm Springs with his wife Joyce in August 1959 and was a full time resident in the desert for 55 years. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Joyce Dobbins and three siblings, Douglas Dobbins (brother) Richard Dobbins (brother) and Bobbie Jean Gilliman ( sister) also his sons Billy Jr. and Ken. Also his beloved late son Mark. Grandchildren, Kameron, Kendra and Chaz. Billy was in the floor covering business for many years. He had a client base that included Elvis Pressley, Steve McQueen and many other Hollywood celebrities. He was a huge boxing fan and actually promoted two professional boxers. In addition he loved Automobile racing and to play a few hands of cards. He was also a member of the Elk's Lodge. As a young man Billy served our country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division. All of Billy's family and friends miss him dearly and will cherish all memories. Memorial service will be held at Wiefels and Sons in Palm Springs at 11:00 am February 25, 2013, 690 S. Vella Rd. A "Celebration of Life" will be held immediately following the memorial at - O'Leary Pub 436 S. Indian Canyon
