Mrs. Bachman, 46, of Memphis died Wednesday after a lengthy illness.
Tom Posey, pastor officiated the services which were held in the First Christian Church of Memphis. Graveside services were held Saturday afternoon in the Byers Cemetery in Byers, Texas under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis.
Mrs. Bachman was born in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and had been a resident
of Memphis for 26 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was active in her community serving as Cub Scout leader and Girl Scout leader for many years. She was a talented seamstress and made many costumes for the grade school programs and made all her girls clothing. She was a talented artist and painted many oils during her life. She was manager of the Buccaneer Stamp store in Memphis for years.
She and Kenneth married in Byers, Texas in April 23, 1955. They built a home in Memphis for their four children.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jacob Bachman; three daughters, Ramona Bachman Burk of Estelline, Andrea Faye Bachman Alesiani of Shamrock, Kimberly Bachman Shannon of Amarillo; one son, Kenneth Wayne Bachman of Grand Prairie; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bardin of Wylie; four sisters, Thelma Daughtery of Greenville, Kaye Richmond, Nell Turner and Jeri Hunt all of Wylie and five grandchildren; Tyra, Brandon, Robyn and James Burk of Estelline; Robert Shannon of Amarillo.
