Joseph W. Isenberg Sr., 58, Altoona, died Friday evening unexpectedly at the Altoona Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late J. Rosswell "Ross" and Betty Hart Isenberg. He married Catherine J. Shoenfelt.

He is survived by his former wife and his fiancee of 22 years, Pamela L. Finley; daughters: Christian M. Murray of Tyrone and Sally Isenberg of Duncansville; five sons: Joe Jr. and wife, Christina, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Heath Isenberg and fiancee, Jesse, of Sproul, and Jim Finley and wife, Dawn, Rob Finley and wife, Sara, and Mike and wife, Robin, all of Brandon, Fla.; eight grandchildren; two sisters: Sally Walter and husband, Dave, of Mechanicsburg and Susan Houseman and husband, Don, of Lakemont; and a brother: John and wife, Judy, of Hollidaysburg.

Joseph was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Senior High School Class of 1972. He also attended Penn State University.

He worked at YBC for the past 10 plus years. Prior to that, he worked at Independent Wallpaper and Paint Store, Altoona, for 22 years, of which 15 years were as a partner.

He was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society and enjoyed camping and reading.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday by Father Anthony J. Legarski. Interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
