Sylvia A Plewa joined US Army on 21 Nov 1944 (Age 18) to train at Oak Park, Hospital School of Nursing in Oak Park Illinois for Army Cadet Nursing Corps. Also enlisted as Lt in the Army on 6 Feb 1951 (Age 24) during the Korean War. She took care of children stricken with Tuberculosis. Sylvia was released from the Army on 28 Feb 1953 (Age 26) with Honorable Discharge.
