Mrs. Lindsey was born January 14, 1951 in Taylorville, the daughter of James and Rose Muffick Lafferty. She married Roy G. Lindsey in Taylorville in May of 1971, Mrs. Lindsey was a librarian in South School in the Taylorville School District and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her mother Rose Lafferty of Taylorville, her husband, Roy, sons, Douglas and Daniel both at home; sister Mrs. David (Rose) Simes of Taylorville and her niece Marisa Simes of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her father James Lafferty.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. at Suttom Memorial home in Taylorville, the funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. October 23, 1996 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father John O'Connell officiated and burial was made at Oak Hill Cemetery.
