Margie "Mamaw" Elizabeth (Rice) Malone Battle Creek Margie "Mamaw" Elizabeth (Rice) Malone, 86, of Battle Creek, MI, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born March 23, 1926 the daughter of Henry Rice and Grace Ann (White) Rice. Margie is survived by sons: Jack (Dee Dee) Malone of Battle Creek, MI and Bobby (Judy) Malone of Lakeland, FL; 8 grandchildren: Missy (Mark) McCullough, Derek (Amy) Malone, Bobby Malone, Michelle (Brad) Reitmeyer, Katie (Luke) Kuboushek, Chris Jones and Ronald Jones; 12 great grandchildren; and brother: Ray (Jo) Rice. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert F. Malone (1987) and brother: Ralph "Mickey" Rice. Margie's heart remained true to the great love of her life, Bob. She was so proud of the "two fine young men" that she raised. She was happiest surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When Margie was not with her family she could almost certainly be found at Harmony Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School, singing hymns, and soaking in the Word. Margie will be remembered by many as the lady in red, toting her banana puddin', and witnessing about her Jesus. Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM, officiated by her longtime pastor, Pastor Harold Cosby. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial tributes may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Youth Center Fund or the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.
