Martha was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived most of her life in Houston, Texas. She was a faithful servant in her church work, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and she sang in the church choir. She worked for Bell Telephone and after marrying her husband Albert G. Tanner, they traveled together with their family around the country as he worked for the Veterans Administration.
Martha is survived by her husband of 52 years, Albert G. Tanner, her daughters & sons-in-law: Joy Lynn & Stephen Lewis: Jeannie Tanner and life partner Susan Lawrence; Annie {Tanner} & Matthew Akers: grandsons & their spouses: Daniel & Bridget Lewis: Aaron & Maritza Lewis: William & Dianna Oliver: granddaughter & her husband: Anna & William Vanderbom: and five great- grandchildren: Tripp Lewis, Genesis Lewis, Eva & Liam Vanderbom and Alicemae Oliver.
