Charles H. "Charlie" Lovelace, 85, of Collinsville, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Martinsville on February 20, 1927 to the late John William Lovelace and the late Florence Etta Draper Lovelace. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Lovelace; one son, Jerry Lovelace; three sisters, Lillie Cassell, Mary Blevins, Elizabeth Rorrer; two brothers, William Lovelace and George Lovelace. He was a member of the Collinsville Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by one son, Kenny Lovelace of Collinsville; four step-daughters, Shirley Montgomery of Galax, Patsy Shumate of Collinsville, Dorothy Carico of Hillsville and Judy Surber of Martinsville; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren, 33 step great grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, February 18, 2013 from Noon to 1:00 pm in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the home of Kenny Lovelace, 260 Fox Chase Drive, Collinsville. The funeral will held at 1:00 pm in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Dan Wood and Rev. Joe Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Collinsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Mission Funds, P.O. Box 627, Bassett, VA 24055. Bassett Funeral Service is serving the family of Mr. Lovelace.

A funeral for Charles H. "Charlie" Lovelace, 85, of Collinsville, who died Feb. 14, 2013, was held Monday at Bassett Funeral Service with Dr. Dan Wood and the Rev. Joe Beck officiating. Burial was in Henry Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Bruce Allen, Kermit Allen, Tim Allen, J.T. Foley, Don Surber, Lee Surber, Travis Surber and Wesley Wright.
