ANDERSON, Ind. — Audie Lee Scott, 82, of Anderson, peacefully entered the gates of heaven on Feb. 20, 2013, after a full life of touching many souls.

She was born April 5, 1930, in Kokomo, to the late Audie B. and Isaac N. Davis. Audie graduated from Francisco High School in 1948. She married LeRoy W. Scott on July 14, 1949, and they have lived in Anderson since 1957.

She was blessed to stay home to raise four sons, but also found time to serve others in many capacities. She was a very active member at South Meridian Church of God for more than 50 years and enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, member of the Women of the Church of God, and the Homemaker's Club among many other areas of the church. In her later years, she enjoyed volunteering at WGNR radio and Children of Promise.

She is survived by three sons, Stacy D. Scott Sr. (wife, Shireen), Ronald R. Scott and Galen D. Scott, all of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Karen Scott; grandchildren, Shalimar Scott, Monica "Sunshine" Scott, Guy Scott, Justine "Teeny" Scott, and Katie (husband, Billy) Sigafus, all of Anderson, Stacy (wife, Brianne) Scott Jr. of Illinois, Kiley (husband, Shannon) Province, Anthony Scott of Alabama, and Jacquelin (husband, Jonathan) Harvell of Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (husband Pat) Ritterskamp; and one brother, Isaac "Sonny" Hale. Many special friends and extended family members also survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Layne A. Scott in 2003; three brothers; and four sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Ed Hyatt officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children of Promise to further the kingdom.
