Cheryl Lee Harris Maddox

Cheryl L. Harris Maddox, 63, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 25, 2013, in the Garden of Prayer at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Cheryl was born on August 31, 1949, in Abilene, TX, to parents William A. and Juanita Turland Harris. After attending Abilene High School, she met Anthony Maddox. They were married on December 3, 1966, in Abilene. She enjoyed reading romance novels and watching western classics on television. There was nothing she enjoyed more than being a loving caregiver to all; and enjoyed watching her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews grow.

Cheryl is survived by her sister, Mary Howe and husband Art of Tuscola; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers (William and Bobby), 1 sister (Linda Sue), and 1 niece.
